Welcome to Adene's Farm Flowers, a flourishing flower haven situated in the heart of Wolseley, Western Cape. Founded and nurtured by the visionary Adene Nieuwoudt, our farm is a testament to her unwavering passion for nature and the art of cultivating exquisite flowers.  

At Adene's Farm Flowers, we take pride in being a working flower farm dedicated to the cultivation of high-quality, beautiful, and enduring fresh-cut flowers and foliage. Nestled in the Breede River Valley region, our idyllic location benefits from mild winters and long, hot summers, allowing us to grow a diverse array of flowers, from anemones to dahlias.  

Our roots trace back to the Platvlei Fruit Farm, a cherished Family Farm acquired by Adene's husband Andrew Nieuwoudt's grandfather, Chris Dicey, in 1934. With Andrew's extensive degree in agriculture and 20 years of fruit farming experience, Adene transitioned from her previous role as a fashion buyer in Cape Town to embrace the vibrant world of flower cultivation upon moving to the farm.  

Adene's journey took a fascinating turn when, as a wedding photographer, she discovered the scarcity and high cost of certain flower varieties in South Africa. Recognizing an opportunity, she embarked on a new venture that began as a modest endeavour but has since blossomed into a thriving 11-hectare flower farm boasting over 200 different flower varieties, including 5 hectares of Peonies in Matroosberg.

Our commitment extends beyond mere cultivation, we've embraced eco-friendly growing methods, embodying environmental responsibility across our flower farm established in 2016. Here, we strike a harmonious balance between farm and family, ensuring sustainability and excellence in every bloom.  

Step into our world during our open days, where thousands of visitors delight in wandering through 80,000 Dahlias, 4,000 Hydrangeas, and myriad other flowering Plants. Adene's discerning eye continually seeks new and exciting varieties, reflecting our dedication to innovation in both flowers and business.  

Indulge in the beauty of our flowers, available at our Shops situated across Cape Town: Cape Quarter Lifestyle Village, Majik Forest Shopping Centre, The Village Square, Stellenbosch Square, and Waterstone Village. You can also find us at Oranjezicht City Farm Market over weekends.

Embark on an enchanting journey at our Pick Your Own Farms situated in Val De Vie, Lourensford, and Pretoria. Here, you can handpick these floral treasures six days a week during the morning hours. Lourensford and Pretoria will open their gates to the public in December 2024, welcoming you to immerse yourself in this floral wonderland.

The Oranjezicht Market is a Weekly farmers' market in Cape Town offering produce, breads, eggs & dairy products, plus artisanal foods and of course - Adene's Farm Flowers. The markets focus is on local, fresh and seasonal produce. Our cold truck leaves the farm at 5:30am with fresh flowers for the market every Saturday and Sunday. You cannot get any fresher! Our stall overflows with blooms, dried foilage, linen and seeds. The colours are a delight on the eye and the fragrance of the blooms fills the market. 

A must visit at the market for a beautifu hand made bouquet.
